CHILD-RESISTANT PACKAGING DRAFT REGULATION FOR MOUTHWASH PRODUCTS containing more than 3 g of alcohol is expected to be considered at an April briefing of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Chair Ann Brown said at a March 29 press luncheon. The draft regulation, which was written by commission staffers and is still under review within the CPSC, favors a 3 g measure rather than the previously suggested 5% content measure for determining which mouthwash products should be required to carry child- resistant packaging. Brown predicted that the draft will receive clearance to go before the commission by the end of April.
