Executive Summary

COLGATE PLATINUM TOOTHPASTE AND TOOTH WHITENING SYSTEM will be launched in the New England states beginning Jan. 20, with a nationwide rollout scheduled for July. The Platinum Professional Toothwhitening System and companion Platinum Whitening Toothpaste with Fluoride will be marketed by Colgate-Palmolive's Canton, Mass.-based Oral Pharmaceuticals subsidiary, which also sells Fluorigard rinse, Viadent toothpaste and rinse and Precision Floss. The tooth whitening system will be marketed to dentists while the toothpaste will be sold in food and drug outlets.
