Producer prices of nonprescription pharmaceutical preparations rose only .1% (unadjusted) in the first quarter of 1993. Manufacturer prices for antacids, cough/cold preps, external analgesics and laxatives were flat, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Producer prices for nutrients and supplements dropped 4.8% in the first quarter after rising over 4% during 1992.
