Executive Summary
On November 18, the Senate enacted passed H.R. 3204, the Drug Quality and Security Act by a voice vote, and the new pharmacy compounding/supply chain security bill is set to be signed into law. One of the key reasons for that was the support from Senate Health Subcommittee ranking member, Lamar Alexander, whose home state experienced a disproportionate impact from the meningitis outbreak traced back to compounded products.
