Executive Summary
Joshua Sharfstein left his post as principle deputy commissioner of the Food & Drug Administration in January, leaving behind a short but productive legacy of increasing the level of transparency at FDA. Just before he left to become Maryland’s Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene, he discussed transparency at the FDA/CMS Summit for Biopharmaceutical Executives.
