Executive Summary
The Congressional Budget Office will take on heightened importance in 2009 as health care reform becomes a domestic policy priority. Finding meaningful, scorable savings will be imperative in order to move legislation. With that, CBO’s panel of health advisors, a group of outside health care experts who meet periodically to provide guidance to the agency, will take on an increasingly important role.
