Executive Summary

Director of FDA's Office of Pharmacoepidemiology & Statistical Science Paul Seligman will serve as the agency's new associate director for safety policy & communications starting in mid-May. One area of focus for the new associate director will be the implementation of an FDA drug safety bulletin that will be distributed to the public on a regular basis. He also will oversee the Drug Safety Oversight Board and the MedWatch program.
