Cell therapies for joint repair/regeneration

Executive Summary

The first meeting of FDA's Cellular, Tissue & Gene Therapies Advisory Committee on March 3-4 will address cellular therapies for joint surface repair and regeneration. The panel is the former Biological Response Modifiers Advisory Committee, renamed in October by FDA to reflect more accurately its purview. The committee will also hear updates on research programs in the Center for Biologics Evaluation & Research the afternoon of March 3 and on FDA's Critical Path Initiative the morning of March 4.
