FDA consolidation project
Executive Summary
FDA offices located behind HHS headquarters in Washington, D.C., would be sold to the privately-funded National Health Museum under legislation sponsored by Sen. Specter (R-Penn.) and Rep. Franks (R-N.J.). The agency will vacate the site after the consolidation of office and research facilities at the White Oak Naval Station in Maryland. Specific dates for the turnover are not specified in legislation, but the museum expects to begin construction by early 2002
