Clinton's medical errors recommendations
Executive Summary
Administration will release recommendations on prevention of medical errors during a Feb. 22 joint hearing of the Senate HELP Committee and the Senate Appropriations/HHS Subcommittee. Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality Director John Eisenberg, MD, will represent the Administration at the hearing. The proposal will be based on recommendations requested from the Quality Interagency Coordination Task Force and a separate interagency plan. Other scheduled witnesses include Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Undersecretary for Health Thomas Garthwaite, MD, and Harvard Medical School's Arnold Relman
