Zeneca Seroquel is "approvable" in U.S., approved in U.K.

Executive Summary

ZENECA SEROQUEL "APPROVABLE" DESIGNATION AUG. 1 may give Zeneca a chance to close the gap between its antipsychotic agent and Abbott's Serlect, which is also pending approval at FDA. Serlect (sertindole) initially reached the approval stage in October, but Abbott has apparently not yet resolved the outstanding issues raised at that time. The agent was designated approvable for a second time June 16 ("The Pink Sheet" June 30, In Brief).
