EUROPEAN COMMISSION SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE BEING FORMED TO ADVISE ON LEGISLATION in the European community "concerning medicaments for human and veterinary use," according to a July 24 call for nominations to the committee. Unlike the Committee for Proprietary Medicinal Products and the Committee on Veterinary Medicinal Products under the European Medicines Evaluation Agency, the Scientific Committee on Medicaments and Medical Materials would not routinely review applications for European marketing approval.
