PROXYMED PROXYNET ADDING 3,000 PHYSICIANS TO NETWORK through the acquisition of Walgreens' Pre- Scribe electronic prescription network announced June 30. The physicians on the Pre-Scribe network will be transferred to ProxyNet over the next 90 days, ProxyMed said. ProxyMed currently has 7,000 physicians using its ProxyNet prescription management software. Through contract agreements with physician practice management services, ProxyMed anticipates the addition of 150,000 physicians to its network over the next two years by "integrating electronic prescription modules into the physician's existing software," the company explained.
