HOECHST ALLEGRA LAUNCHED AT 12% AWP DISCOUNT TO SELDANE with a price of 71 [cents] per dose, Hoechst Marion Roussel said. The recommended dose for Allegra is one 60 mg capsule twice daily, yielding a daily cost of therapy for the antihistamine of $1.42 AWP. HMR estimates that Allegra is priced at a 15% discount to the market-leading prescription antihistamine, Schering's Claritin. Allegra shipments began Aug. 8.
