FRANKLIN ELECTRONIC FORMULARY FOR N.J. PLAN REDUCES DRUG SPENDING $1,275/MONTH per physician compared to a control group of physicians who had not received electronic formularies. Franklin Electronic Books developed an electronic formulary plus drug reference for Health Insurance Plan of New Jersey in a pilot project. The project began in May with the support of Hoechst Marion Roussel, Schering and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer.
