During an early phase of his 25-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, Roden was part of a business development group at Bergen that experimented with running state Medicaid programs on an at-risk basis. Roden, 49, was with Bergen from 1974 to 1977 and served as a group VP for the subsidiary that ran the state contracts, Health Application Systems.
