DOSES OF INFLUENZA VACCINE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR 1995-96 flu season, according to an estimate from FDA Office of Vaccine Research and Review Medical Officer Peter Patriarca, MD, and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention staffer Raymond Strikas, MD. The vaccines will be available from such manufacturers as Connaught and Wyeth-Ayerst (FluShield). There are about 60 mil. elderly people in the U.S., who are considered at risk for influenza complications.
