Paxil, Zoloft "drug holiday" small study finds improvement in sexual function.

Executive Summary

PAXIL, ZOLOFT "DRUG HOLIDAY" IMPROVES SEXUAL FUNCTIONING, according to results of a small-scale, short- term study conducted by Anthony Rothschild, MD, clinical director of the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass. The objective of the study was to evaluate whether temporary discontinuation of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressant medications in recovered depressed patients with SSRI-induced sexual dysfunction would improve sexual functioning. The study also included Lilly's SSRI Prozac.
