PEDIATRIC VACCINE COVERAGE REACHES 75% FOR DTP, MMR AND POLIO VACCINES in the U.S., based on the results of the National Immunization Survey published in the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention's Aug. 25 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The survey, conducted by CDC from April to December 1994 under the auspices of the Childhood Immunization Initiative, finds that for children ages 19-35 months, vaccination coverage was 75% for the 4:3:1 series of at least four doses of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and pertussis vaccine, three doses of polio virus vaccine and one dose of measles-mumps-rubella vaccine.
