Hoechst/Copley's generic micronized glyburide turned down by Illinois formulary.
Executive Summary
HOECHST/COPLEY MICRONIZED GLYBURIDE TURNED DOWN BY ILLINOIS FORMULARY committee May 31 after Upjohn testified that the Copley generic does not use the same scoring in its tablet design as Upjohn's Glynase PresTabs, the brand equivalent. Hoechst-Roussel manufactures the generic, which is distributed by Copley, its majority-owned affiliate. Hoechst plans to appeal the Illinois decision.
