IOWA PROSPECTIVE DUB DEMONSTRATION PROJECT IS GENERATING 8%- 10% RATE of drug utilization review messages for pharmacies in its first five months. "For every 100 claims received, we are sending about 8-10 DUR messages back," University of Iowa Associate Professor of Preventive Medicine Betsy Chrischilles, PhD, reported. Providing an update on the 30-month project to the Zitter Group's Congress on Health Outcomes & Accountability in Washington on Dec. 13, Chrischilles noted that majority of messages in the first five months have related to early drug refills.
