Executive Summary
NASAL ENDOSCOPY VALIDATION STUDIES URGED BY FDA ADVISORY COMMITTEE before the technique is accepted for use in clinical trials of drugs to treat acute maxillary sinusitis. The committee met Nov. 17 to discuss the "validity of endoscopically-obtained maxillary sinus specimens versus antral puncture for the microbiological diagnosis of sinusitis."
