TOWNS SEEKS TO CHANGE FDA DRUG REVIEW TIME CLOCK by introducing amendments to the Prescription Drug User Fee Act, the chairman of the House Government Operations/Intergovernmental Relations Subcommittee said Aug. 22. A General Accounting Office report commissioned by the New York Democrat concluded that FDA's current method of clocking review times is inadequate to measure "how long it takes for drugs to become available to the public."
