Executive Summary
The National Association of Chain Drug Stores and NARD are working to redefine the "Equal Access to Discounts" provision of the Clinton Health Security Act. NACDS and NARD apparently are working to incorporate language into the Health Security Act from a model bill concerning unitary pricing that they have been circulating throughout the states. In April, Maine passed a uniform pricing law that was, similar to the NACDS model bill ("The Pink Sheet" April 25, T&G-4).
