SYNTEX TORADOL STUDY FINDS DECREASED MORTALITY among patients treated with the injectable analgesic Toradol (ketorolac) compared to those treated with opioids, Syntex declared Dec. 22. The 20,000-patient postmarketing surveillance study, conducted by Brian Strom, University of Pennsylvania, compared 10,000 courses of injectable ketorolac to 10,000 courses of opioids. "Investigators found a statistically significant decrease in the mortality rate" in favor of Toradol, Syntex said.
