VP Medical/Scientific Affairs Richard Crout retires from company Nov. 19. Senior Director-Clinical Research Marc Gurwith, MD, succeeds Crout. A former director of FDA's Bureau of Drugs, Crout, 64, joined the Rockville, Md.-based firm in 1984 when it was established as the U.S. drug subsidiary of Boehringer Mannheim GmbH.
