Executive Summary
Senate clears S 732 to provide for the immunization of all children in the U.S. against vaccine-preventable diseases Nov. 4. The bill, which addresses outreach, education, and the establishment of an immunization registry, was first introduced last spring as part of the president's children's immunization initiative. The provisions were approved by the Senate in August as part of OBRA '93, but were subsequently dropped from the conference report due to Byrd rule considerations.
