The action follows the announcement that Chairman and CEO Carl Faden, a company founder, will retire at the end of 1994. Upon his retirement, Faden will become chairman emeritus and a consultant to the Northvale, N.J.-based development stage company that focuses on products for diabetes and aging complications.
