Executive Summary
General Services Administration announces intention to acquire land on behalf of FDA in Montgomery County, Md., through an advertisement in the Dec. 14 Washington Post. Part of FDA's effort to consolidate its Washington-area facilities into a two-site campus, the Montgomery County site will house the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. GSA is seeking "no less than 133 contiguous buildable acres" that are adequately zoned to accomodate 1 mil. gross sq. ft. of office and lab space and 1,330 parking spaces. GSA wants responses by Jan. 29.
