Merger negotiations have been terminated by Durr-Fillauer, Bergen Brunswig reported on Aug. 28. Bergen said it is "considering its alternatives" and is "keeping its pending tender offer outstanding." In an Aug. 25 letter to Durr-Fillauer, Bergen stated that its $33 a share offer was supported by a due diligence review.
