Alza's weekly production rate is currently about 135,000 14- patch cartons per week. A previous story in "The Pink Sheet" (April 6, p. 8) incorrectly described the production rate as 60,000-70,000 "patches" per week. That figure should have been stated in cartons not patches; it relates to Alza's production rate in early February. Alza has continued to increase its production capacity to meet the hot demand for the smoking cessation nicotine patches.
