Former Capitol Hill staffer Jonathan Spear has joined PMA as a legislative counsel. Spear's 20 years of congressional staff experience included 14 with House Judiciary Committee members William Hughes (D-N.J.) and George Danielson (D-Calif.). One of Spear's initial tasks at PMA will be following legislative developments in the area of product liability. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jack Brooks (D-Tex.) has said he plans to hold product liability hearings this year. At PMA, Spear reports to VP-Government Relations Michael Reed.
