McKesson sponsoring $2.5 mil. cable TV ad campaign to consumers, promoting members of its Valu-Rite marketing and merchandising program. Ads will run on channels including CNN, WTBS and Lifetime. Launched Oct. 9, ads will run through the year in tandem with print circulars and radio. The Valu-Rite program currently has approximately 3,051 members, with 1988 sales of $2.5 bil.
