Executive Summary
Separate division to market the non-caloric "fat replacement" product has been established under former VP-Health and Personal Care Products Charles Lieppe. P&G's move is similar to Searle's strategy with Nutrasweet. An application to market olestra (sucrose polyester) as a food additive was filed with FDA in May ("The Pink Sheet" May 11, T&G-1).
