PDS to gather hospital data
Executive Summary
Retail Rx audit firm has acquired "an interest" in International Health Services, a Boston-based research firm which collects computerized U.S. hospital records on Rx drug use by diagnosis and DRGs. PDS will assume sales and marketing responsibilities for the IHS data base for use by drug manufacturers. Currently, IHS has 90 hospitals under contract, and projects 175 by the end of 1988. Agreement gives PDS option to purchase balance of company at a later date.
