Elan product launches

Executive Summary

Elan affiliate O'Brien Pharmaceuticals has launched two enteral nutritional products, Reabilan and Reabilan HN in the U.S. and Canada. Elan acquired U.S. and Canadian marketing rights to the Reabilan product line from Roussel-Uclaf. In November Elan announced its purchase of a 27% equity interest in O'Brien with the option to increase its total equity to approximately 60% ("The Pink Sheet" Nov. 17, In Brief). Reabilan and future nutritional products will be supplied by the newly-created joint venture Elan Roussel Nutrition.
